Adele Brise of Green Bay, Wisconsin, received three apparitions from the Virgin Mary, asking her to pray for sinner conversions as well as to teach children about the religion. Her father later built a chapel, which survived the Peshtigo Fire on October 8, 1871, and the apparitions were approved in 2010. Those inside the chapel during the fire believed they were saved by the Virgin Mary.
